This policy covers the personal information Digital Vision (ABN 41 632 936 844) handles through digitalvision.com.au. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
What you send us
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you write in the message. That is the only place on the site where you type anything.
Technical records
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of requests to the site: IP address, time, page requested, browser and referring page. We use these only to keep the site working and secure.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and the site does not set cookies of its own. We do not ask for sensitive information and would rather you did not send any.
Why we collect it
Messages are used to reply to you and to carry on any conversation that follows. If we end up working together, or looking at an investment, we may keep that correspondence as the record of how the relationship started. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Who else handles it
The site is hosted on Netlify, which stores contact form submissions and server logs on our behalf, on servers that may be outside Australia. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. Both are bound by their own privacy terms. Beyond that we disclose personal information only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to the relationship, and delete enquiries that go nowhere once they are clearly finished with. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host and then discarded.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS and access to form submissions is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything confidential through the form.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also complain if you think we have mishandled it. Write to us through the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
